These fine line pen and ink
illustrations appeared in the award winning Montreal literary
magazine, Matrix, a reader's delight that featured poems, essays and
short stories by Canadian writers.
These ink drawings above are done differently___
the clean cutting concept used tor the fiery guitar-playing is a world
away from the wild and woolly humorous illustration of a biker on his
Harley below.
The intention of an illustrator is to enhance the
framework it resides in, and include the tone, the writer's voice,
through a variety of stylistic methods. The partying biker required a
fat, happy rendering, quite different from the needs of the intense
focus of the rock musician.
